Akita International University offers a four-year undergraduate program for a Bachelor’s Degree in International Liberal Arts. We refer to it as the Degree-seeking Program. AIU seeks students with diverse backgrounds with many abilities and qualities besides basic academic skills. To identify individuals with passion and potential not only from Japan but also abroad, we offer admissions for International Students.
The screening of successful applicants will be carried out based on documents submitted to AIU. Applicants must submit the necessary application form and mail it with the other required documents, such as the statement of purpose. We have two admission intakes a year, in April and September.

Application Procedure and Forms
Application Procedure
The completed documents must arrive at AIU by the close of the last day of the application period. Please write on the envelope in red: “Applicant Materials for International Student Enclosed.” Send the documents to AIU by registered, special delivery mail. Overseas posts must also be registered and sent by air. Regarding the application procedure, please follow the instructions for “Online Application Procedure” on the Admission Guide.
