Akita International University, a public university corporation, has decided to take special measures to refund entrance examination fees upon application for students who were affected by the disaster in areas to which the Disaster Relief Act was applied in 2023.
Therefore, if you are applicable and wish to receive special measures, please follow the procedures below.

1. Target audience

・Those who have been affected by disasters such as wind and flood damage in areas to which the Disaster Relief Act has been applied within 2023, and who fall under any of the following:

*For areas to which the Disaster Relief Act applies, please refer to the Cabinet OfficeApplication status of the Disaster Relief ActPlease check in "".
*Applicants who applied after the disaster are eligible. Those who are affected by the disaster after applying will not be eligible.
*If you cannot submit the required documents such as certificates by the deadline, please submit a document showing the current address of the person who will pay the tuition fee,
Please also attach photos showing the disaster situation (photos of collapsed buildings, etc.).

Those whose home owned by the student who paid the tuition fee was completely destroyed, partially destroyed, partially destroyed, or washed away.

3. How to apply

・Please submit the designated application documents by email or mail by each application deadline.
・Please pay the examination fee in advance at the same time as the application procedure and by the application deadline set by the university. After receiving formal permission, we will refund the paid entrance examination fee of 17,000 yen.
    Application deadline: March 3th (Monday) 11:14 (Japan time)

*Applicants for comprehensive selection type entrance examination II (September 2024 admission) only, August 9st (Thursday) 8:1 (Japan time)
*If sent by mail, it must arrive by the last day. Please write "Application for refund of entrance examination fee" in red on the envelope.
